A tribute to motherland on 62nd Independence day by following 1 week pledge

You talk to 10 persons, 8-9 will vouch for rampant corruption in government offices. Is it true? They should check this ration by corrupt transactions & correct transactions. You will find it is very very low. Here I mean the transactions made with government offices. Generally the documents submitted by first party are not complete or totally correct. The other party takes advantage of the ignorance or mistakes of the first party. In such circumstances the dealing clerck jumps into the scene with a promise to help & get some thing in return. Shall we blame the government official alone.

To cleanse the system from corruption, the society has larger role to play. If for a particular decision if we increase our waiting capacity by a week we will reduce the corruption by more than 10%. Shall we not trying to increase our waiting capacity & tolerance to delay by a week. If all of us pledge to increase this capacity by a week will help the country by good amount. In this pleadge you are not giving any thing to any one but help the country.

Similarly if the Senior Officers in Government ask the list of issues which are pending for one week from his subordinates we will reduce corruption by another 20%. Shall be not expect from our senior officers even this small pledge for the sake of the nation which has given them this position.

If our Government officials stop using the government resources like vehicles, photocopy machines, computers for personnel use one week in a month, we will reduce corruption by another 10%. This will not only help the country but instill the values in the next generation by example setting.

Misuse of Term Development Communication by Media Personnel

In most of the development projects a good proportion of budgets (about 10-15%) is allocated for development communication in the form of community mobilization, IEC, BCC etc. But invariably this budget is used in the activities of mass communication or group communication with out bothering the target audience. Reason? The incharge of this function in government sector would be a person from journalism or mass communication. Why? All political parties have nexus with journalists or PR Department officials, they fear from them, they use them in the political gains & thus obilise them by such postings. Thus resulting into misuse of funds & casulty of development communication. So long the development project managers keep on obilising the PR & Mass Communication experts, development can not be achieved. It is now time that concerned persons should ask the government to assign the job of development communication to right persons. When one sow the seeds of Babool, one may not get mangoes- a old Hindi proverb.

NGO is not only Voluntry Organization it is more than VO

A general understanding about a NGO is that it is an organization established to swindle away the Government Funds. With this greed in mind many of the politicians & buraucrats have established NGOs. These NGOs get the grant-in-aid from Government exchequer under the influence of their powerful positions. In their proposal they will add the resumes of highly qualified & experienced experts who will never show their face during implementation of the project. Even writing the proposal is not their cup of tea. So they get the copy of the proposals submitted by other organizations by influencing the clarical staff incharge of maintaining the records. By slight changes here & there, the proposals are submitted and approved under influence. Such proposals/ projects never see the implementation. There are organizations who keep the advances received for few months and get interest on the money advanced to them. If the funding agency chases for implementation then they will return the money with out any interest. Who is to be blamed?

Development Communication depends on the concern of the audience

When we communicate with any group or community we should identify whom the message concerns. Sort the audience based on the concern. Then communicate with the concerned audience. If you are sure the message which you are communicating is of concern to all audience, then your efforts should be first to awaken the concern among the audience. Once the audience realises his/ her concern then only he allows the contents to enter into the brain for further processing. For any communication to result into action first condition is accept it in the brain for processing.
To establish concern one must learn that concern is inversely proportional to the duration it takes in showing reasults & it is directly proportianal to the closeness to relationship with the affected party.
Therefore analyse the audience into these aspects before communicating for success.
